- Weekly Pay:$2640 to $2840
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, and supportive care
- Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor patient responses to treatment
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood products, IV medications, hydration therapy, and other prescribed treatments in accordance with oncology standards
- Monitor for treatment-related side effects, complications, and adverse reactions while providing timely interventions
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, symptom management, nutrition, and home care
- Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, radiation therapists, social workers, dietitians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate individualized patient care
- Assist with pain management, symptom control, and palliative care interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with chemotherapy safety protocols, infection prevention guidelines, and quality care standards
- Deliver compassionate emotional support to patients and families throughout treatment and recovery
Requirements
- Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 2 years of recent Oncology nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Current ACLS Certification preferred
- ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Certification preferred
- Experience administering chemotherapy and caring for oncology patients
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
- Ability to manage multiple patients while providing compassionate, patient-centered care
