Must-Have:
- Chemotherapy administration skills and experience.
- Required IV therapy and infusion skills and experience.
Description:
Position involves working in an oncology/MS setting.
No chemotherapy or oncology certification required for this position.
Shifts will be three 12-hour night shifts.
Average daily census is 24 patients.
Candidates with at least one year of experience in nursing are preferred.
First-time candidates are accepted.
Weekend work requirement is every other weekend.
There is no on-call requirement.
Clinicians will float as needed within their scope.
Block scheduling requests can be discussed with management.
Candidates local to the area are accepted.
RTO restrictions ideally should not exceed five days.
Client may have calls off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment.
Candidates must work two out of three major holidays.
Key responsibilities include administration of chemotherapy and management of side effects.
Nurses will care for patients undergoing oncology treatment and provide education and support to patients and their families.
The unit specializes in both general oncology and hospice care.
Technical skills such as IV push administration and managing central lines are required.
The facility employs various interdisciplinary support services for patient care.
