⚠️ Crisis Opportunity – Fast-Paced, High-Impact RoleJoin a mixed PCU / Med-Surg / Oncology unit providing care to adult patients with oncology and trauma-related conditions. This is a crisis contract requiring adaptability, strong clinical skills, and teamwork.
Important Requirements- BLS & ACLS (AHA) – Required
- ONS/ONCC (Chemo Certification) – Preferred (not required)
- Minimum 1 year RN experience (PCU/Oncology preferred)
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must pass orientation exam (90% required)
⚠️ Compliance Notes- 50-mile radius rule applies
- Cannot have worked with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity (perm/PRN) in last 12 months
- Driver’s License required at submission
- No artificial nails allowed (strict policy)
Unit Overview- Unit: 6 East (PCU / Med-Surg / Oncology)
- Beds: 27–28
- Patient Population: Adults
- Ratios:
- PCU: 1:4
- Med-Surg: 1:5 (Days), 1:5–6 (Nights)
- EMR: EPIC
- IV Pumps: Alaris
Key Responsibilities- Provide care for:
- Oncology patients (chemo, cancer care)
- Trauma PCU patients
- Administer and manage:
- Chemotherapy (if certified)
- Heparin, Cardizem, Protonix
- Titrate drips such as:
- Insulin (occasionally Cardizem)
- Perform:
- IV starts & medication administration
- Patient monitoring & assessments
- Support hemodynamic monitoring (training provided if needed):
- CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000, ICP
- Work collaboratively with:
- CNAs, PT/OT, Case Managers, Social Workers

- Orientation: 2 days + Pass/Fail exam (90% required)
