Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Clinic Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 Years Experience Required License: NC or Compact License Pending OK for Submission Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Outpatient Oncology Experience Required - Epic Experience Required - Must Bring Own Stethoscope Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO in the unit may lead to a Cancel and DNR. This position is within an oncology clinic. Candidates must have outpatient oncology experience. Nurses will handle triage duties and coordinate care. Responsibilities include speaking with patients about their care and follow-up. They will also call patients with results and manage triage phone calls. Patient education is a key component of this role. Nurses will be assigned to 1-2 providers for care coordination. No chemotherapy or infusion duties will be performed at this facility. Patient diagnoses will include medical oncology and non-malignant hematology. Preferred skills include the administration of chemotherapy and starting IVs. There is a float requirement as needed to similar centers. No weekend requirements are expected. Travelers will be required to perform within the clinic as needed. Best case candidates will have both outpatient oncology and Epic experience. Candidates may also be screened for at least one of these requirements. This role requires effective communication skills and patient support. No special equipment is used in this unit. Patient ratios will be 20 visits per day across 4 rooms.
