Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical Oncology Floor in Asheville, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will provide patient care within an oncology and women's surgical unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Asheville, NC
  • Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
  • Required Qualifications: License (RN or CNA), BLS certification, candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts with a requirement to work 6 weekend days per schedule; rare call.
  • Additional Information:
    • Unit type: Oncology/Women's Surgical
    • Unit capacity: 24 beds with 42 staff members
    • Staff includes 1 Certified Nurse Colleague (CNC), 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) on each shift
    • Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:5
    • Equipment: Standard unit equipment
    • Procedures performed: Occasional pelvic exams, echo, thoracentesis
    • Team players, willing to learn, with a flexible attitude toward floating to other medical-surgical units receiving rare staffing float requirements
    • Dress Code: RNsnavy, white, or a combination of both; CNAsGalaxy Blue
    • Policies: Basic hospital policies and guidelines
