Job Title: Clinical Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Oncology Outpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: One year of nursing experience required License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required Must-Have - Clinical nursing care - Patient care coordination - Nursing process - Patient education - Readiness to learn assessment Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reports and is accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director. Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. Uses patient education materials relevant to the patient population with assistance. Assesses readiness to learn of the patient/family/caregivers. Assesses developmental level of patient and factors affecting ability to learn. Identifies expected patient outcomes. Seeks guidance as needed in revision of the plan of care.
