Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Oncology Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: None required Must-Have: - RN License - BLS Certification Description: Client is recognized as one of the top hospitals for clinical quality. The facility achieved an “A” safety grade for excellence in patient protection and safer healthcare. It has received prestigious accolades such as the Magnet Designation for nursing excellence. The oncology unit has 24 beds and a dedicated staff of 42. On the day shift, staffing includes 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 4-6 RNs, and 2 Certified Nursing Assistants. The night shift has similar staffing levels to ensure adequate patient care. Patient ratios are typically 1:4 or 1:5, promoting a manageable workload. Standard unit equipment is used along with an electronic medical record system for efficient documentation. Candidates should be team players and willing to learn. Preferred qualifications include Chemotherapy Certification. Occasional procedures performed on the unit include pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis. Staff members are required to work 6 weekend days per schedule. Dress code requires navy and white for RNs and Galaxy Blue for CNAs.
