Job Details
  • Position: Registered Nurse - Oncology
  • Location: Asheville
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Night Shift
  • Schedule: 3x12
  • Experience Required: 2 Years
  • Weekly Pay: $1900 to $2080
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients receiving treatment for cancer and related conditions
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor treatment responses
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and supportive medications as prescribed
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and complications related to treatment
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and symptom management
  • Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Manage pain, symptom control, and supportive care needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and oncology care standards
  • Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and their families
Requirements
  • Active RN License in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Oncology nursing experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • ACLS Certification preferred
  • OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification preferred
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification preferred
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced oncology environment
