Job Title: Clinical Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Oncology OP Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: One year of nursing experience preferred. Experience in oncology is helpful, but not required. License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. Must-Have: Nursing Diploma, ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing. Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reports to the Nurse Manager or Director. Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Essential Duties: Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. Utilizes patient education materials relevant to the patient population. Assesses readiness to learn of the patient, family, and caregivers. Evaluates the developmental level of the patient and factors affecting the ability to learn. Identifies expected patient outcomes.
