Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement individualized patient care plans aimed at returning patients to optimal health
- Provide direct bedside nursing care and carry out physician orders in an OB/GYN setting
- Delegate to and oversee support staff including Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Associates, OB Care Associates, Surgical Service Assistants, Nursing Clerks, and Psychiatric Techs
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and adjust as needed to meet patient needs
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of OB experience required
- AWHONN certification required (must be obtained within the last two years)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Basic Life Support – BLS (AHA) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support – ACLS (AHA) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Prior experience in an acute care hospital environment
