Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement individualized patient care plans aimed at returning patients to optimal health.
- Provide direct bedside nursing care and carry out medical orders for OB/GYN patients.
- Delegate to and oversee support staff including Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Associates, OB Care Associates, Surgical Service Assistants, Nursing Clerks, and Psychiatric Techs.
- Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of care plans and adjust as needed based on patient response.
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of OB nursing experience (required)
- AWHONN certification completed within the last two years (required – documentation must be provided)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Active Michigan Registered Nurse license
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in an acute care hospital setting
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
