Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Rapid Response)
LocationFlorence, Alabama
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | 8-Week Assignment | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to adult Labor & Delivery patients in a 9-bed unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Perform continuous fetal monitoring and assessment, including recognition and response to fetal distress
- Manage and respond to obstetric emergencies including preterm labor, preeclampsia, placental abruption, umbilical cord prolapse, and postpartum hemorrhage
- Float to Postpartum unit as needed to support staffing requirements
- Document patient care accurately using Centricity and Meditech electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, high-quality maternal and neonatal care
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current ACLS or ALS-OB certification required
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Current EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification required
- Current BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Centricity and/or Meditech EHR platforms
- Strong background in postpartum care and high-acuity obstetric conditions
- Demonstrated adaptability, strong communication skills, empathy, and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment
