Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Rapid Response)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | 8-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to adult Labor & Delivery patients in a 9-bed unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
  • Perform continuous fetal monitoring and assessment, including recognition and response to fetal distress
  • Manage and respond to obstetric emergencies including preterm labor, preeclampsia, placental abruption, umbilical cord prolapse, and postpartum hemorrhage
  • Float to Postpartum unit as needed to support staffing requirements
  • Document patient care accurately using Centricity and Meditech electronic health record systems
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, high-quality maternal and neonatal care
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
  • Current ACLS or ALS-OB certification required
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • Current EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification required
  • Current BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with Centricity and/or Meditech EHR platforms
  • Strong background in postpartum care and high-acuity obstetric conditions
  • Demonstrated adaptability, strong communication skills, empathy, and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment
