Job Title: Level 4 RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years in OB, L&D, and/or Postpartum License: Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: Experience in OB, Labor and Delivery, and/or Postpartum Description: The position involves planning, providing, and directing patient care using the nursing process. The caregiver will act as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families. Collaboration with other healthcare team members is essential. The staff nurse will assist in the orientation of new personnel and may participate in health center and department committees. Demonstrating knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to various age groups is required. Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients, including safety and educational needs. Participate in establishing a collaborative plan of care based on assessment data, communicating this plan as appropriate. Implement and evaluate the plan of care based on identified patient goals and intended outcomes. Modify the plan of care as necessary based on reassessment of the patient’s status. Complete documentation according to established standards using appropriate documentation tools. Assess the readiness of patients and significant others to learn, implementing individualized education plans as needed. Actively participate in nursing department or unit-based initiatives, such as providing in-service opportunities or serving on committees. Provide age-appropriate care as detailed by the organization. Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and applicable professional standards. Ensure an excellent service experience for all customers by consistently demonstrating high standards of performance.
