Job Title: Clinical Coordinator (RN) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: Full-time Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Minimum of two years in a medical office setting License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state Board of Nursing Certifications: Basic Life Support Certification Must-Have: - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment - Associate's degree or higher in Nursing (required) - Bachelor's degree in Nursing (highly preferred) - Pediatric experience (highly preferred) - Direct medical office experience, including past clinical staff supervision (highly preferred) Description: The position of Clinical Coordinator (RN) in Behavioral Health was developed to facilitate the functioning of clinical staff within the office. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the activities of the clinical support staff to enhance information and patient flow. This role ensures adequate clinical support staff coverage during office hours. The Registered Nurse prescribes and coordinates professional nursing care for assigned patients. Responsibilities are carried out independently within the guidelines of accepted nursing practice, medical direction, and hospital policies. The RN utilizes the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care. This position also functions as an Office Nurse, triaging patient calls, managing prescription refills, and coordinating patient care. Responsibilities include: Providing direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to ensure optimal outcomes. Collaborating with physicians, fellow nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records of patients' conditions, treatments, and progress. Reporting any changes or concerns promptly to the appropriate team members. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and protocols. Educating patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote overall wellness. Offering emotional support and advocating for patients' rights to ensure they receive compassionate and respectful care. Complying with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and ethical work environment. Staying updated on medical advancements, best practices, and industry standards through ongoing professional development activities. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
