JOB SUMMARY The Director of Business Development will lead growth strategy across the Intelligence & Cyber sector, driving new business opportunities, customer engagement, and pipeline development within the national security and defense markets. This role partners with senior leadership to expand market presence and shape mission-driven solutions for intelligence community customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead business development and sales strategy for the Intelligence & Cyber sector
- Drive annual orders target exceeding $1B through pipeline development and capture strategy
- Build and maintain relationships with intelligence community, federal agencies, and defense stakeholders
- Identify, qualify, and shape new business opportunities aligned with mission needs
- Oversee and develop a high-performing business development and sales team
- Serve as voice of the customer to influence product and technology direction
- Partner with capture, proposal, operations, and technical teams to support win strategies
- Develop annual business development plans, forecasts, and performance metrics
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements
- Represent organization at customer meetings, industry events, and government forums
- Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations and internal processes
JOB REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience
OR Master s degree with 13+ years of experience
OR 19+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree - Active TS/SCI security clearance required
- 5+ years of business development experience in defense, DoD, or national security sectors
- Proven experience leading complex capture strategies and winning campaigns
- Strong network within intelligence community and/or special operations community
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing or influencing high-performing teams
- Strong understanding of federal procurement and acquisition processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, mission-driven, travel-intensive environment
