Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain to oversee supply chain operations within a healthcare environment in Framingham, Massachusetts. This leadership role is responsible for managing purchasing, inventory control, equipment distribution, financial performance, and operational efficiency across hospital supply chain functions.
The ideal candidate will possess strong healthcare operations experience, financial management skills, and the ability to lead strategic initiatives that improve productivity, cost management, and compliance within a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and oversee overall supply chain operations for healthcare facilities
Manage purchasing, inventory management, and distribution of supplies and equipment
Monitor financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, contract compliance, and spend management
Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and productivity
Lead product conversion initiatives and cost-saving programs
Collaborate with hospital leadership, finance teams, and regional supply chain leaders
Resolve issues related to existing and new products in a timely and cost-effective manner
Participate in hospital committees, meetings, and operational planning initiatives
Lead, mentor, and support supply chain staff and departmental operations
Requirements
Bachelor s degree required
Minimum 6 years of supply chain experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Previous healthcare or hospital supply chain experience required
Strong knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, budgeting, and contract compliance
Leadership and management experience required
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple operational priorities effectively
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Materials and Resources Professional (CMRP) certification preferred
Previous experience within hospital or healthcare administration preferred
Experience with financial forecasting and operational performance improvement initiatives preferred
