Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients, with a focus on advanced neonatal procedures and patient management. The position requires flexibility in floating between units and working variable shifts.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Start Date: 08/24/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license; at least 2 years of experience including neonatal intensive care; Certifications including BLS and NRP; previous experience with charting using Epic; minimum 1 year of relevant experience; comfortable with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3; ability to work variable weekend shifts; required skills include neonatal ventilator management, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, neonatal medication administration, and use of specialized neonatal equipment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neonatal procedures such as ECMO, nitric oxide therapy, and thermoregulation.
- Float: Float rotation may be required, including between units and patient age groups under 2 years.
- Additional Information: The NICU handles neonatal patients with complex needs including ventilated care and invasive monitoring. The environment offers interdisciplinary support such as respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Candidates must have recent bedside experience in a NICU setting and be able to respond to the demands of a high-acuity neonatal unit.
