Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Austin, Texas. This contract role involves providing specialized patient care in a Level 4 NICU environment. The shift is scheduled for nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on August 24, 2026. The role requires a focus on team collaboration and adaptability within a high-acuity unit.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, 2 years of NICU experience, 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience, excellent teamwork skills, positive attitude, ability to adapt to change, knowledge of EMR system Meditech and CPN
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, and breast pumps; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work well under pressure
  • Additional Information: The NICU unit has approximately 65 beds with over 200 staff members. Staff includes charge nurses, team leads, transport nurses, respiratory therapists, and unit assistants. The unit primarily cares for patients with patient ratios from 1:1 to 4:1. Dress code requires navy scrubs, and teamwork is highly valued. The unit offers modern equipment and technology, with a focus on patient safety and staff development.
