Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position in Evanston, Illinois. The role involves providing specialized care for Level III high acuity neonates, including micro preemies from 22 to 44 weeks gestation, some on respiratory support and surgical cases. This position requires a dedicated professional with experience in a high-acuity neonatal environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Illinois nursing license, CPR certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, a minimum of 3 years of NICU experience in Level III neonatal intensive care units, with experience caring for micro preemies, high acuity patients, and surgical neonates.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system.
- Float: May be asked to float to other NorthShore facilities; float assignments will be communicated up to 2 hours prior to the scheduled shift.
- Additional Information: This facility does not admit or go in labor rooms; assignments involve care for intermediate and high-acuity neonates with some respiratory support and surgical needs. Orientation includes 12 hours of training, with 6 hours non-billable.
