Job Summary:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Austin, Texas. This contract opportunity involves working in a 97-bed unit with a focus on providing exceptional care for neonatal patients. The role requires skillful nursing with a commitment to compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days, 12-hour shift hours
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0

- Required Qualifications: Licensure as a registered nurse, minimum of 2 years Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, educated at the degree level required for RN licensure, and experience working in a Level 3 NICU setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with travel nursing, candidates with prior NICU experience in a Level 3 setting are prioritized.
- Patient Ratios: 3-4 patients per RN
- Unit Equipment: Medfusion pumps, Alaris infusion pumps, Giraffe isolettes, GE monitors
- Practice Environment: The units staff includes approximately 200 professionals, with primarily RNs on day and night shifts, along with clerical support.
- Unit Policies and Guidelines: Strict dress code of navy scrubs, no artificial nails or nail polish, and adherence to facility policies.
- Additional Information: The unit is equipped with new technology, has a highly experienced staff, and offers schedule options to attract qualified professionals.
