Description:
This position requires a registered nurse to work in a mixed acuity unit caring for medical surgical patients.
The nurse must be prepared to care for up to six medical-surgical patients.
The patient population includes strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, brain and spinal cord tumors, and other neurological conditions.
The nursing ratios are 1:5 days and 1:6 nights, with the rare possibility of 1:7 at night.
Stepdown ratios are 1:3-4 for both days and nights.
RNs will work alongside care techs, transport team members, and may encounter various patient care scenarios.
Commitment to a nicotine-free workplace is required.
Weekend shifts will consist of four shifts out of eight possible in a four-week period.
Travelers must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays.
RTO requests are limited and must be submitted with the application.
This role requires a team-oriented approach, and the nurse will float as necessary to meet patient care needs.
