    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Neuro ICU

    Location

    Phoenix, AZ

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct critical care nursing to patients with complex neurological diagnoses in a 32-bed Neuro ICU setting at a Level 1 Trauma facility
    • Perform and interpret neuro assessments, ICP monitoring, and EVD management for patients undergoing craniotomies, brain tumor removal, ablations, brain biopsies, and complex spine surgeries
    • Operate and monitor ventilators and Phillips telemetry monitoring systems within a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in the ICU
    • Float as needed to other ICU floors and telemetry/med-surg tele units, assuming a 1:4 patient ratio on tele floors
    • Complete SIMs Lab competency assessments including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes, maintaining strict sterile field technique
    • Participate in holiday scheduling integrated into core staff rotation and may be placed on standby for scheduled shifts
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in good standing
    • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a large hospital (450+ beds); candidates with a minimum of 18 months of Neuro ICU experience will be considered
    • Level 1 Trauma experience required
    • EVD (External Ventricular Drain) experience required
    • Strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience required
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 3–6 months of prior travel nursing experience
    • Proficiency with Cerner EMR
    • Experience with ventilator management in a critical care environment
