Description: Cross posting for available positions. Accepting both 3x12 and 4x12 shifts. First-timers are welcome to apply. Strong Neuro skills required. Every other weekend commitment is required. Candidates must be proficient in EPIC charting. Responsibilities include care of ventilated patients and acute stroke management. Must be familiar with external ventricular drain management. Experience with hypothermia protocol and ICP monitoring is essential. Interpretation of arterial blood gases is required. Post-neurosurgery management experience is preferred. Must be capable of managing spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries. Ventilator management experience is necessary. Knowledge of neuro ICU procedures and patient care is preferred. Daily patient census is approximately 20. Interdisciplinary support includes various specialists. Patients may have diagnoses including ischemic and hemorrhagic conditions. Special procedures may include bedside drain placements and continuous EEG monitoring. Candidates must comply with fit testing requirements for respirators. Travelers must have a clean record and cannot have worked past one year as a traveler. Candidates should be prepared for module completion prior to start.
