TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63110!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years in a neuro setting License: Pending License accepted Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS required TNCC and BSN preferred Must-Have: Must pass Relias EKG exam Description: Position in Neuro ICU with a patient ratio of 1:2. Requires experience with ischemic strokes, neuromuscular disorders, seizure disorders, CNS infections, hemorrhagic strokes, and neurotrauma. Requires management of vasoactive medications, central line, arterial line management, and ICP monitoring. Will complete 10 hours of stroke education total. Experience with EVD and bolt is required. Applicants with experience in a Comprehensive Stroke Center are preferred. Ability to float within the service line is necessary. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Must have skills in care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, and neuro intensive care management. Excellent documentation skills are expected. Candidates should have a strong background in nursing, specifically in a critical care environment. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to communicate effectively. The facility is a Magnet and Teaching Client, Level I Trauma Center. Applicants are required to adhere to all compliance requirements prior to starting.
