This position is for an 18-bed critical care unit specializing in critically ill patients with various neuro diagnoses. Patients may include those with stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, surgical resections, and trauma. Candidates should possess strong critical thinking skills and be skilled in specialized interventions. Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring and hypothermia protocols. The unit fosters a collaborative environment with supportive leadership. Nurses will partner with nationally certified physicians and other interdisciplinary team members. The role includes managing complex patient needs, such as ventilator management and emergency medications. Experience with external ventricular drains and lumbar drains is essential. Candidates must be willing to float to different units as needed. Strict adherence to patient care protocols and standards is expected. All nurses are encouraged to contribute to an innovative care approach in this high-acuity environment.
