Description:
Position requires a Neuro ICU Travel Nurse responsible for providing high-quality patient care.
The nurse will work day/night rotation with three 12-hour shifts per week.
The estimated patient ratio is 1:1-2.
Floating to different units of equivalent or lower acuity may be required.
The patient population includes individuals with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subarachnoid hemorrhages, seizures, neuromuscular diseases, meningitis, and post-operative neurosurgery patients.
The nurse will perform bedside procedures such as tracheostomy, PEG placement, and ICP monitoring as needed.
Experience with managing ventilators, EVDs, and telemetry is crucial.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Candidates must be able to respond effectively to emergencies, manage medications, and provide nursing care for complex neurological conditions.
All candidates should be aware of the urgency of the credentialing process and comply with fingerprinting requirements promptly.
Two professional references are required, and at least one must be from a supervisor or formal leadership capacity.
