It is expected that the traveler will work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. The unit has a total of 30 beds, currently operating at 18 due to renovations. Patient ratios are 6-7:1. The unit employs a team nursing approach with support staff available during shifts. There is a focus on safety with hourly safety rounds and bedside shift report required.
