Must-Have:
- Chest tube management
- Administration of IV drips such as Diltiazem, Heparin, Lasix, Insulin, or Amiodarone
- Care and maintenance of lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients
- Experience with tracheostomies and laryngectomies
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring
- Management of complex wounds
- Central line care, maintenance, and blood draws
Description:
The Registered Nurse position involves providing care in a Medical-Surgical setting with a focus on neuro patients.
This unit handles a variety of medical conditions including neuromuscular disorders and meningitis.
It also serves as a primary stroke center.
The patient population may include individuals with traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injuries.
Surgical procedures include tumor resections in the brain and spine, spinal surgery, and head and neck cancer care.
The unit is recognized as a Level IV Epilepsy center and is involved in advanced epilepsy treatments, including the use of implanted electrodes and scalp leads.
Candidates should be experienced in managing a range of procedures and complications associated with the aforementioned conditions.
A strong emphasis is placed on the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
