Description:
- Client will prescreen candidates.
- Unit has 28 beds.
- Nurse-patient ratios are 1:3-4.
- Charge Nurse position is available, with no patient assignment.
- Clinical Supervisor in a management role is also present.
- Patient Care Technicians are assigned 1 per every 16 patients.
- Weekend requirement is every other weekend.
- Scrub color is navy.
- Centralized telemetry monitors are in place, and RNs must be able to interpret EKGs.
- Ventilator management is not required.
- Clientist rounds during the day and is on call at night.
- Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy services are available 24/7.
- Shifts are 12 hours long, from 7 PM to 7 AM.
- Floor-specific orientation lasts for 2 days.
- Common diagnoses and types of patients include neuro post-surgical cases, post-craniotomies, spine surgeries, and CVAs post-TPA.
- No ICP monitoring is conducted.
- The cancellation policy permits up to 4 shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment.
- Charting system used is Cerner.
