Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS from AHA, NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) Must-Have: Experience and competence in drug titration. Description: This position is an opportunity for a Registered Nurse specializing in telemetry. It requires a minimum of 1 year of inpatient tele experience. The role includes monitoring and coordinating patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. The RN will perform direct patient care activities for all age groups. This includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Nurses will utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for patients with neurological, medical, and telebackgrounds. The nurse is accountable for the provision of patient care and will evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers. Coordination of patient care will be in conjunction with other departments. Maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of patient information is essential. The RN must be flexible and prepared to work differing schedules and shifts according to patient care requirements. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting with turning patients. There is a high risk exposure to blood and body fluids in this role. The quality of patient care is a top priority. Candidates must adhere to established guidelines of nursing practice and maintain compliance with professional standards.
