RN - NICU (Registered Nurse, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)

Marysville, CA

Contract | Full-Time | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of NICU patients throughout each assigned shift
• Prescribe and implement nursing care based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care and input from patients and families
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate and deliver patient care
• Incorporate patient and family teaching as well as discharge planning into the overall plan of care
• Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
• Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health record system

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire
• Active EPIC experience within the last 12 months required; recent Cerner experience also required
• Each work history entry must identify the charting system used

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior acute care facility experience in a NICU or perinatal setting
• Experience supporting or working within an EHR conversion project
