    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | Option for 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30, no call) or 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30, with a minimum of one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly) | Every other weekend coverage required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients ranging from 22 weeks gestation and above, including those with diagnoses such as HIE, RDS, sepsis, diaphragmatic hernia, myelomeningocele, drug exposure/withdrawal, and related complex conditions
    • Assist with and support special procedures including full body cooling, chest tube management, tracheostomy management, Avastin administration, laser eye surgery, and surgical repair of non-cardiac anomalies
    • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Arctic Sun, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, dual incubators, radiant warmers, and various infusion and feeding pump systems
    • Document all patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC EMR
    • Float to other NICU units or facilities as needed based on census requirements, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in South Carolina
    • Current BLS certification
    • Current NRP certification
    • Current STABLE certification
    • Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience (first-time travelers not eligible at this time)
    • Minimum of 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with high-acuity NICU patient populations including surgical and cooling protocol cases
    • Familiarity with Pyxis or Omnicell medication dispensing systems
    • Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
