Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients ranging from stable feeder growers through critical Level 3 patients
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3 within a 40-bed NICU unit
- Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Float to assist in other areas of the facility as needed, without taking a full assignment in another unit
- Participate in block scheduling and adhere to a maximum of one week of requested time off during the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Indiana
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, specifically at Level 3
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications required
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Valid driver's license required for submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for a broad acuity range of neonatal patients, including critically ill Level 3 infants
- Familiarity with block scheduling environments and travel nursing expectations
