Trauma Level: 3 & EMR: EPIC
Level of NICU: 2
beds: 20 12
Ratios: 1:1-3 depending on acuity and staffing
Experience or 'Must have' skills: Ability to care for gestations down to 32 weeks or greater than 1500 grams, NC, HFNC, CPAP, NAVA, conventional vent equipment, use of feeding pumps.
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: BP drugs, TPN/D10, Insulin
Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: Yes, nurses read strips.
Shifts & Scheduling: 3-12s per week – 4 week schedules
Weekend Requirement: Can be every weekend
Holiday Requirement: Possible - individualized to contract dependent on scheduling need
Is there a call or standby requirement?: If not needed, will be put on standby
Floating Requirements: Can float to peds to care for NICU grads, any patient until 12 months of age or be a 1:1 sitter for a behavioral health patient PP to help with well baby
