Position Overview

Title: NICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Lincoln, NE 68510-2462
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Pay: $2500–$2600/week
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 13 Weeks

Facility Highlights
  • Level III NICU with 27 beds
  • 11 LDR rooms, 2 OB ED beds, 2 ORs, 23 postpartum rooms
  • 24/7 access to:
    • Neonatology
    • Maternal-Fetal Medicine
    • OB Hospitalists & Anesthesiology
  • Neonatal transport services available
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care for critically ill neonates
  • Manage:
    • Ventilators
    • Central lines
  • Monitor and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Float to:
    • Mother-Baby Unit
    • Labor & Delivery (as baby/transition nurse)
Patient Ratios (AWHONN/NANN Guidelines)
  • 3–4: Continuous care
  • 2–3: Intermediate care
  • 1–2: Intensive care
  • 1: Multi-system support
Requirements (Must-Have)
  • Active RN License
  • BLS Certification
  • NRP Certification
  • Minimum 3 years of NICU experience
  • Strong skills in:
    • Neonatal critical care
    • Ventilator management
    • Central line care
  • Ability to work independently in a high-acuity setting
Schedule & Additional Info
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday rotation required
  • Additional shifts: 2 extra shifts every 6 weeks
  • Floating required within Women’s Services

  • Driver’s license required at submission (used for 50-mile radius rule)
  • No artificial nails allowed (strict patient safety policy)
  • Scrubs: Navy
