RN – NICU (649C Family Centered Care) | 13‑Week Travel Assignment

Location: Non‑local candidates only — must live 50+ miles from the facility
Schedule: Variable shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:15 PM
Contract Length:13 weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to join the 649C Family Centered Care unit for a 13‑week travel assignment. In this role, the nurse will primarily care for newborns in the “border” gray zone—infants who require additional support but do not require full NICU admission. This position is ideal for a skilled NICU nurse who can provide high‑quality, family-centered care in a fast-paced and specialized environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to newborns requiring moderate levels of intervention
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and responses to treatment
  • Initiate IVs and perform required procedures in accordance with clinical standards
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient and family needs
  • Provide education and emotional support to parents and caregivers
  • Maintain compliance with unit protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
RequirementsRequired Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • Proven IV start experience
  • Ability to commit to the full 13‑week contract
