Plans and implements patient and family education. Responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients. Lifting requirements include exerting force occasionally and/or using a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects or people. Maintaining a sitting posture for extended periods may include adjusting body position to prevent discomfort or strain. Walking and moving around within the work area requires good balance and coordination. Twisting, bending, and stooping require flexibility and a wide range of motion in the spine and joints. Fine finger movements are essential for tasks such as typing and handling instruments. Close visual acuity is required for reading computer screens and printed materials. Learn new tasks, remember processes, and complete tasks independently. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, and various chemicals and medications is inherent in this role.
