Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric Medical/Surgical patients on a unit with a daily census of approximately 43
- Manage insulin drips, heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, and high-flow oxygen therapy
- Serve in a charge nurse capacity as required for night shift travelers
- Float to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatient holding as needed
- Participate in storm, hurricane, and inclement weather response teams; may be required to report during catastrophic events or mass casualty situations
- Attend monthly unit team meetings, including additional night shift meetings held the Friday following each scheduled Wednesday meeting
Required Qualifications- Active RN license (NC or Compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records (required)
- Ability to manage insulin and heparin drips
- Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays
Preferred Experience / Skills- CPI certification
- Prior charge nurse experience
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and SBAR communication framework
