Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Oncology & General Surgery)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Projected Start: July 13, 2026
Key Responsibilities- Deliver primary nursing care to patients on a 24-bed Medical/Surgical unit with an oncology and general surgery focus
- Administer chemotherapy in accordance with unit policy (chemo-certified nurses only)
- Monitor and document vital signs every 8 hours, or every 4 hours for remote telemetry patients
- Collaborate within a primary nursing care model alongside charge nurses, fellow RNs, and administrative care technicians
- Utilize an iPhone-based nursing communication system to coordinate with care team members in real time
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 and support a positive, team-oriented unit culture
Required Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Medical/Surgical experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Chemotherapy certification (required to hang and handle chemotherapy on this unit)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with Meditech EMR
