Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit managing a caseload of up to 1:7 patients
- Care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, AKI, and post-surgical conditions
- Titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results as directed by physician orders
- Monitor and manage patients on intermittent BiPAP as needed
- Collaborate with PCTs and monitor technicians who provide remote telemetry oversight
- Float to other units as needed based on census, per facility floating policy
Required Qualifications- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license; any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
- Current BLS certification (must be unexpired)
- Current NIHSS certification (must be unexpired)
- Ability to manage patient ratios of up to 1:7
- Comfort working with telemetry monitored remotely by monitor technicians
- Must meet facility radius compliance requirements; valid unexpired driver's license required at submission
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a Medical Surgical setting with high-acuity diagnoses such as urosepsis, AKI, or post-surgical care
- Experience titrating heparin drips and interpreting aPTT results
- Familiarity with Qgenda scheduling platform
