    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 48-bed Medical Surgical unit managing common diagnoses including pneumonia, UTI, altered mental status, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, and fall/weakness cases
    • Titrate select drips including heparin, bumex, and lasix (cardiac drip titration not required)
    • Monitor patients on telemetry in coordination with dedicated monitor technicians; monitor respiratory equipment in coordination with Respiratory Therapy staff
    • Collaborate with patient care techs who perform vitals, BGMs, EKGs, heart monitor application, bathing, feeding, toileting, and turning and positioning
    • Adhere to scheduling requirements including every other weekend rotation and potential holiday rotation; remain flexible to fill gaps in the permanent schedule
    • Float as needed to other Medical Surgical, MS-Tele, or IMC units for lower acuity patients
    Required Qualifications
    • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
    • Current BLS certification
    • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (first-time travelers accepted)
    • Valid, unexpired driver's license — copy required at time of submission
    • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius per facility policy
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience with telemetry monitoring and familiarity with titratable drip management
    • CNA certification or willingness to complete PCT training as applicable
    • Experience working in a Medical Surgical environment with varied patient acuity levels
