Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | 12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide pre- and post-surgical care to adult and geriatric patients in a 40-bed inpatient Post Surgical Care Unit following PACU recovery
- Manage a patient assignment of 4–5 patients on day/PM shifts and 5–7 patients on night shifts in a fast-paced environment averaging 10–15 admissions per day
- Accurately document patient care, assessments, and interventions using Epic EMR
- Administer and scan medications using Rovers and manage IV therapy via Alaris pumps
- Float to all inpatient units as needed
- Prioritize and multitask patient care needs based on acuity while collaborating effectively as part of a team
Required Qualifications- Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience with recent hospital experience
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Alaris infusion pumps and Rover medication scanning devices
- Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume post-surgical care environment
- Familiarity with joint replacement and surgical patient populations
