Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical
LocationVicksburg, Mississippi
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, rotating weekends)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit in accordance with facility protocols and standards of practice
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic medical record
- Float to other units as required based on facility staffing needs
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Mississippi or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Permanent address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and team workflows
