Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care within a Neurosurgical unit, focusing on patients with stroke, seizures, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological diagnoses or neurosurgical procedures.
- Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care for assigned patients.
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
- Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
- Fulfill call and float requirements as needed per unit policy.
Required Qualifications- Active LPN or LVN license in good standing.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a relevant clinical setting.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current NIHSS certification.
- Experience with EPIC EMR.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a Neurosurgical or Medical-Surgical Neuro unit.
- Familiarity with care of patients with back, head, or spinal diagnoses and neurosurgical procedures.
