Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical, Nights

Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical unit with a standard patient ratio of 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
- Care for general medical-surgical patients, including post-operative orthopedic and general surgery patients
- Float as needed, with occasional assignments to the ICU to manage step-down or medical-surgical overflow patients
- Utilize Cerner EMR and Mindray Telemetry System to document and monitor patient care
- Adhere to unit protocols, infection control standards, and New Mexico state compliance requirements including fingerprinting
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Willingness to float as needed within the facility
- Must be submitted through an agency registered with the state of New Mexico (fingerprinting required for all travelers)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Prior experience with Cerner EMR and/or Mindray Telemetry systems
- Experience with step-down or ICU overflow patient populations
