Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical, Nights

Schedule / Job TypeContract – 13 Weeks | Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend Required | Full-Time | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical unit with a standard patient ratio of 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
- Manage general medical surgical patients, including post-operative orthopedic and general surgery cases
- Float as needed, including occasional float to ICU to manage step-down or Medical Surgical overflow patients
- Utilize Cerner EMR and Mindray Telemetry System for patient documentation and monitoring
- Adhere to unit protocols, scrub color requirements (Royal Blue), and facility compliance standards including New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Mexico or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to complete New Mexico state fingerprinting process prior to start (process may take several weeks; submitting agency must be registered with the state of New Mexico)
- Willingness to work every other weekend and float as required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with Cerner EMR and/or Mindray Telemetry systems
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or step-down setting
