Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Surgical Orthopedics

Randallstown, MD

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Surgical Orthopedics unit, including post-operative and general medical patients admitted from the emergency department
• Care for patients undergoing general surgery procedures such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colorectal surgery, small bowel obstruction management, and amputations
• Support orthopedic surgical patients including knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, spine surgery, and limb lengthening procedures
• Manage patients from bariatric, plastics, and urology surgical specialties
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Cerner electronic documentation system
• Float within the hospital within scope of practice as needed

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – valid Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a relevant clinical setting
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency with or ability to learn Cerner electronic health record documentation
• Must provide copies of all required certifications
• Professional references required

• Experience in a Medical Surgical or Surgical Orthopedics unit
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
