Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 33-bed Medical Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 7:1 on nights
- Manage IV therapy, Kangaroo pumps, and sequential compression devices (SCDs) as part of routine patient care
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Collaborate with a team including nursing technicians and unit support staff to deliver safe, quality care
- Float in rotation to other appropriate units as needed per facility policy
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Proficiency with IV therapy, Kangaroo pumps, and SCDs
- Experience with Meditech or comparable electronic health record documentation system
- Ability to meet every-other-weekend scheduling requirement
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation platform
- Experience working in a high-census inpatient unit with float rotation expectations
