Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Float)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care for assigned patients on the nursing unit while providing leadership within the nursing team
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for patients served through the model of Shared Governance
- Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team with a focus on promoting evidence-based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families
- Float to support various units including ER hold, overflow units, adult and geriatric psych, and inpatient rehab units
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience required
- Stepdown experience required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Arkansas or Compact State RN license in good standing; license must be in-hand at time of submission
- BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS required at time of submission
- Active Nursys verification required with submission
Preferred Experience / Skills- Critical care experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- BSN preferred
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system preferred
