Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | Onsite | Weekends Required (approximately 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit within a short-term acute care facility
- Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:5–6 in accordance with unit standards
- Float between units as needed to support staffing and patient care demands
- Adhere to facility dress code and unit-specific policies and procedures
- Commit to working assigned holiday shifts as required per contract terms
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical RN experience
- Ability to work weekends as part of the standard scheduling rotation
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify under travel guidelines
- Background must be free of any reportable hits per facility policy
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or similarly complex acute care environment
- Familiarity with floating between units in a multi-unit hospital setting
